“All the good works in the world are not equal to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass because they are the works of men; but the Mass is the work of God”

The word “Mass” comes from the Latin word missa meaning “mission” or “sending”. The purpose of Mass is to send forth the faithful to bring forth the Good News of Jesus, and to be His presence in the world. It is also a time to give God thanks and praise, as the word “Eucharist” means thanksgiving. Our school offers Mass on the first Friday of every month. The purpose of our school offering Mass is to unite all the children more closely to Christ and it gives the students the opportunity to both more fully understand, in a pastoral setting, and participate in the Liturgy.
